How stress aggravates OCD?
Have you ever come across someone suffering from OCD? A person with OCD will show repetitive behaviour such as perfectionism, anger, and so on. For different people, OCD affects in a different way.
As per the experts, OCD is caused by a misfiring of information in a person’s brain. The area is known as basal ganglia. OCD can be active and dormant, but it can trigger when a person is stressed to the core. We deal with several clients during OCD coaching and we have seen how people react when they are super stressed. Many of us have shared their experiences with us that proves that their OCD is worse when they are stressed due to something in life. Furthermore, people with OCD tend to be more emotionally sensitive than others.
If you remain stressed and you are not doing anything about it, your behavioural can trigger OCD even if you do not experience the symptoms regularly. During our OCD coaching, we tell our clients to manage their stress as much as they can. It is only the stress-relief that can help them deal with this condition and come out of it. Stress is a devil and it interferes with many things in your life.
So, we suggest that before you go for any professional OCD therapy, try to reduce the stress by yourself. Indulging in some physical activities, or doing some stretches at home will help as well. If you are looking for more information about it, please let us know. We will help you.
